Lykke E. Andersen tiene un Ph.D. en Economía de la Universidad de Aarhus, Dinamarca. Ha realizado investigaciones sobre medio ambiente y desarrollo en América Latina por más de 25 años como Directora Ejecutiva de INESAD; Gerente Científica de Conservation International Bolivia; Economista Jefe de la Universidad Católica Boliviana y consultora del Banco Mundial, Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo, el Banco Andino de Fomento, Naciones Unidas y varias otras instituciones dedicadas al desarrollo sostenible. Actualmente se desempeña como Directora Ejecutiva de la Red de Soluciones de Desarrollo Sostenible en Bolivia (SDSN Bolivia). Cuenta con más de 300 publicaciones realizadas, que incluyen libros, artículos, blogs, entre otros. Según RePEc, se encuentra entre el 5% superior de economistas mujeres citadas en el mundo.
